A journey on the Deccan Odyssey is a lifetime experience. It’s a classic experience to explore the varied cultural heritage of the two western states - Maharashtra and Goa. The Deccan Odyssey Train takes its guests to Sindhudurg, Goa, Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Wardha, Ajanta and Ellora on its weeklong journey. The itinerary of Deccan Odyssey Train is elaborate and well planned.

Day-01-Wednesday-Mumbai
The journey of the Deccan Odyssey starts from the iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station In the evening. Guests are welcomed aboard the Deccan Odyssey. The train then departs for its first destination - Sindhudurg. Dinner is served onboard.
Day 02 - Thursday – Ratangiri
Arrival: 07.40 hrs. Departure 16.00 hrs
The Deccan Odyssey makes its first stop at Bhoke Railway station in the morning. Breakfast is served on board and then guests are then taken on a journey to Rai Jetty by an air-conditioned coach. Here guests board a boat to Jaigad Fort. After this, guests leave for Ganapatipule by road. It is the ideal time to have fun and enjoy the finest beaches along the Konkan coast on your way to Ganapatipule. A sumptuous lunch is served at a beach resort. Guests later board the coach for return journey to Ratnigiri Railway Station to board the Deccan Odyssey. Dinner is served on board.
Day 03 - Friday – Sindhudurg
Arrival: 08.25hrs. Departure 20.00 hrs
The train arrives at at Sindhudurg Nagari Railway Station in the morning. Breakfast is served on board. The guests are then taken to Malvan Jetty onboard an air-conditioned bus, where a boat ready to take the guests to Sindhudurg, the Ocean Fort, which is also the erstwhile naval base of the Maratha Empire.
After exploring the fort, guests return to the boat jetty and then proceed to the Tarkarli Beach situated at the confluence of the Arabian Sea and Karli River. The rest of the time is spent at leisure on the beach. After having lunch, proceed to Dhamapur village by bus. En-route visit the Cashew factory. At Dhamapur visit the ancient temple of Goddess Bhagawati and Bharadi Devi located on the banks of a beautiful lake. Guests then proceed to Kudal Railway Station to board the train. Dinner is served on board.
Day 04 - Saturday – Goa
Arrival: 07.30hrs. Departure 17.15 hrs
Guests arrive at at Karmali Railway Station in the morning. Breakfast is served on board. At the railway station, a luxury coach waits for the guests to take them on a tour of Old Goa. Here guests visit Basilica of Born Jesus Church, Se Cathedral Church and the Church of St. Francis of Assissi, a museum for Goan antiques. Later, the bus heads to Panjim – the capital of Goa. Here guests can enjoy their lunch at Fort Aguada Beach Resort. After lunch guests can enjoy their time at Dona Paula, a small palm fringed beach with casuarinas groves and tranquility. Guests can also visit Fontanhas, the French quarters at Panjim. Later a coach takes guests to the railway station. Dinner is served on board.
Day 05 - Sunday - Pune City
Arrival: 08.15hrs. Departure 15.00 hrs
Breakfast is served on board. Guests are welcomed at Pune railway station. Pune is known as the cultural capital of Maharashtra. From here a coach takes guest to Kelkar Museum which houses a variety of artifacts of the 17th-19th centuries and the world famous Osho Asharam, which is one of the biggest center for mediation and spiritual growth. Lunch is provided at Hotel Le Meridian. Later during the day guests drive past Synagouge and visit the Aga Khan Palace, a museum dedicated to Gandhi family. Then guests can enjoy the 'Sound and Light Show' at Shaniwarwada. In the evening, guests return to the train. Dinner is served on board.
Day 06 - Monday – Aurangabad
Arrival: 08.30hrs. Departure 18.00 hrs
Breakfast is served on board. At Aurangabad station, a luxury coach waits at the Aurangabad station to take them to Ellora caves and the famous historical Daulatabad Fort. Ajanta & Ellora caves is a World Heritage site, that houses about 34 cave temples dedicated Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Lunch is served at Hotel Taj and then you are ready to visit the Shivaji Museum which houses weapons and antiques of the great Maratha Empire. Other important tourist spots here include Aurangabad Caves No. 7 and 8, Bibi Ka Maqbara (a replica of Taj Mahal). Day 07 - Tuesday - Ajanta Caves & Nashik
Arrival: 08.00hrs. Departure 22.30 hrs
Breakfast is served on board. At Jalgaon railway station in the morning, a coach waits to take the guests to visit renowned Buddhist caves of Ajanta, a World Heritage Site. Here you can see some of the finest paintings and sculptures of the period ranging from 2nd century BC to 7th century AD. Then guests board the train at Bhusawal railway station and proceed to Nashik. At Nashik, guest pay a visit to Panchawati Ghat and Sula Winery Yard. Late in the night guests board the train at Nashik railway station, after having a farewell dinner.
Day 08 - Wednesday – Mumbai
