One of the oldest locomotives, Fairy Queen offers a wonderful experience. It is the world's oldest rolling locomotive. Fairy Queen started its journey in the year 1855 and had been operational till 1908 when due to some reasons its regular operations were halted. In July 1997, the Indian Railways restarted its operation as a heritage train from Delhi to Alwar and from there the tourists are taken by a luxury bus to the world famous Sariksa Wildlife Sanctuary.
Fairy Queen Itinerary is quite short and takes travellers from Delhi to Alwar on 1 night/2 days tour. In this period travellers visit the beautiful city of Alwar, historical monuments of Delhi and the world famous Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary. The train leaves Delhi Cantonment Railway station on every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the months of October to March.
Itinerary of Fairy Queen
Day 01 - Saturday
Train departs Delhi Cantonment Station. Light Snacks on board followed by lunch on board. After arrival at Alwar Railway Station, guests alight and board an air-conditioned coach. The guests check in at Hotel Tiger Den. Cultural Programs, Theme dinner/Night Stay at Hotel.
Day 02 - Sunday
Jeep Safari for Tiger Sanctuary, return from Sanctuary and breakfast at Tiger Den Hotel. Departure to Sariska by air-conditioned coach. Later arrive at Alwar Railway Station and Fairy Queen leaves Alwar, Lunch on Board, Light refreshments on Board, Fairy Queen arrives Delhi Cantonment Station.
